Honeybees

4/26/2023- A few years ago I had bee hives that didnt make it through the winter. With 2022 planting on the horizon, I decided to delay restarting the bees until this year. Back in January, I preordered two nucs from Hackenberg Apiaries out of Lewisburg, PA. I'll be picking them up on May 6th, but in the meantime I breaking out the hives from storage. It is advantageous this year that I have drawn comb to get the girls started. Here are some photos from the awesome hive painting our kids helped with:
